Fortune's Run Cheat Codes: ------------ Submitted by: David K. How to Beat Second Boss: ------------------------ * Okay, so, first, if you dont know yet, you can call the assistant from different locations and they sometimes have special instructions, a bit like the codec in metal gear. In this case the assistant tells you about the boss attacks and how to dodge some of the moves. * Turns out the conversation the assistant has with you if you call during the boss isnt triggering at the moment. Itll be fixed in next patch! * So, you cant really dodge the laser by running, instead you have to duck under it or jump over it. Its a bit like a rhythm thing. To me thats the best time to deal damage, once you get the pattern down its relatively safe. * During the green blaster move, I usually just run backwards while parrying with the knife. To parry, press the attack button right before a missile hits you. The timing is really forgiving. You can pretty much just spam attack the air. * Imagine youre hitting the bullet in the air. Thats how its supposed to feel, haha… * But yeah its a very hard boss! I personally really like it, but since its so hard, we also made it so that if the timer runs out, he will just leave, but you wont get his special item. So its like an optional challenge, you dont have to actually defeat him. * Defeating him will also affect the story later on! It wont gate any content, but since hell be a returning character, hell have special dialogue to acknowledge the event. * After you view a map from one of the terminals, it is saved in the MAP PDA section to be revisited at your leisure and so you can see where you are! * If after viewing a map it wasnt in your PDA, that was a bug! Anserrah, Primus Inter Pares Tips: ---------------------------------- Staying mobile is your best bet. I was having troubles with him until I decided to go full-crackhead and just run around like Im playing a boomer shooter. SMG is probably the best weapon, followed by the scattergun. Didnt really use the pistol on him but I assume thatd work too. Dont forget your stimpaks either. You should have a few left and they can keep you in the fight even if youre messed up. Hand-to-hand is pretty effective I found, if you have the ballistic vest. He drops a plate every time you knock him down, so you can stay in the fight longer. It got to the point where I didnt even try using my guns on him. Also in the patch notes it says he takes extra damage from the gas leak fires… As a general combat tip (not just for bosses), try to weave kicks, jump kicks and slide kicks in with your attacks. While this forces you to get close to dangerous enemies, those attacks can take down their balance, which can help to stop them from blocking and interrupt their attacks. |
