Here’s why. -=Red Tickets from Blue Boxes=- * Each blue box gives 5 red tickets. * Each ticket is worth about 0.8 perking shards. * 3 blue boxes give 15 red tickets. * 15 red tickets * 0.8 perking shards/ticket = 12 perking shards. Gold Shards from Purple and Red/Gold Boxes: * 67% chance of 3 gold shards, 33% chance of 12 gold shards. * 1 purple/red-gold box from merging 3 blue boxes gives an expected value of: (0.67 * 3) + (0.33 * 12) = ~6 gold shards. -=Comparison=- * 3 blue boxes = 12 perking shards. * 3 blue boxes turned in one purple/red-gold box = ~6 gold shards. In the long run, you’ll get more perks from blue boxes, so focus on them if you need perks and have most or all island heroes at 5 stars. |
