You'll need an online PSN connection for this exploit. Create a NEW account and sign into the PlayStation Network. When you set up your account, set up your birth date for the current calendar date. You will be awarded a car on the MM/DD of your "birthday," and the year actually determines what sort of car you will get (so set it to whatever year you want a random car from). Enter GT Mode to receive your online B-day reward/coupon for your free car. Give the free car to your actual account as a gift. You can repeat this endlessly for free cars! Get the Formula GT Car The Formula GT car shows up in the Used Car Dealership (UCD), but its availability is random--like all used cars. The cars for sale at the UCD are "refreshed" every one day (game time, not real time). With every "day" that passes, six new vehicles show up in the UCD. A day passes when you complete a race or finish a license test. However, you can go through days quickest by loading up a license test and skipping to the next test, without ever actually racing the test. As long as the load screen shows up between tests, one day has passed. It takes five game days to completely refresh the Used Car Dealership's current stock, giving you another chance to find the Formula GT car. Racing Rain tires don't quite serve your purpose, especially in those long 24-hour Endurance races. Racing Rain tires also have less grip, and force you to burn the tires up trying to keep the pace up. Also another tip that is safe to say is that Rain tires last about as half the amount of distance, compared to regular tires. i.e. On Circuit de la Sarthe at Le Mans: 10 laps on Racing Soft tires = 5 laps on Intermediate Rain tires. Easy Credits In B-Spec events you can win all races, get maximum credits and train your driver with almost no time investment with this simple strategy: Play A-Spec events to level 23. This will give you access to cars that easily win the lower levels. Now begin the B-Spec events, giving your novice driver the best car for the race. It will take just a few seconds to get him into the lead, then you can tell him to maintain the current pace and he will win the race without any additional coaching. You can repeat any B-Spec race and rack up phenomenal credits with almost no time invested. Time-Saving Gear Shift (Automatic) In Automatic Transmission mode, you can hold R2 to stay in the same gear. Use this to maintain speed through a corner or stretch a gear for slightly more speed and performance. Higher Level Grinding If you are looking for experience at the expense of some grinding for high endurance levels, race your Formula GT car (assuming you have one) in the Indianapolis race of the Dream Car Championship, it takes under 7 minutes and you get 9819 xp points and 108000 credits which works out to be 78552 xp points and 864000 credits in about one hour of real time. Win a Very Fast Toyota Minolta 88-CV Easily At level 21, you unlock a race called "Like the Wind" in the expert hall. You most likely do not have a vehicle that will be able to keep up with the LeMans cars you are pitted against. However, golds in both of these races will earn you a Toyota Minolta 88-CV, which will be useful in many races to come. It's a very tricky event, so your car setup and driving technique are crucial. Follow these steps to take the gold and guarantee your first purebred race car. 1. Buy a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 '09. This car has the upgrades available that you will need. 2. After step one, you will need around $500,000 to upgrade this vehicle. 3. Go to GT Auto, and buy the Racing Modification for the car. (It should be at the very end of the menu.) 4. Now that your Corvette is light and ready for the tracks, you will need power to keep up with those LM Cars. 5. In the tuning shop, buy every high end modification you can, including the supercharger. Be sure to get every bit of HP possible into your Vette. Now, it's Race Day! Follow the next steps to ensuring gold. 1. You will need to fine-tune the setup. Go to car settings (the wrench icon) and tune your transmission to a top speed of 242. Set the car's downforce (Body and Aero) to the highest possible number on the front and back. 2. The second race on Indy is the toughest, so get that out of the way first: You will need to slipstream to stay up with the others. At the corners, cut inside to overtake your opponents. After a lap or two, you should be pretty close to first, if you haven't reached it. This is the hard part: you will have to block the fast LM cars from taking your spot, so looking backwards in third person is the best way to drive on the straights. 3. After you finally win this one, complete the other. There isn't much to say, but don't slam cars too hard, for your downforce is high and easy to upset. When you pull ahead, you will probably gain a large lead. Enjoy your new Toyota Minolta 88-CV! Additions by soi_sunny: To win the race called Like the Wind at level 21 in extreme series for les money all you need is a Pagani Zonda R, which can be won by completing the B-Spec GT World Championship race in the Professional series. Get the car up to the maximum BHP and buy some Racing Soft tires (very important). Fine tune the car before entering the race. Set the top speed to 242 under the trasmission settings and then set the downforce of the car to the top number for both front and back. Beat those monster cars and win yourself a very fact Toyota Minolta. Cars With Racing Mods The 17 cars (out of about 1000) which have race/racing mods available. Super fast and super sleek and at a 'bargain' price. Gran Turismo Ford GT LM Spec II Cr 3,600,000 As a car designed by Gran Turismo for Ford, you can expect this is as gorgeous as it is fast. This is one mean looking car, and definitely one to save your pennies for. Delicious. Peugeot 908 HDi FAP Team Oreca Matmut Cr 4,000,000 One of the flatter cars, the downforce to this beast means you'll have no problem sticking to the road as your speed through R246's sharp right turn. It's got a mean acceleration too, a mean combination to dominate any track. Audi R10 TDi Race Car '06 Cr 4,750,000 The heavy front might look the rear would slide out too often, but check out the beefy spoiler pushing the car down. Slick curves covering an also flat chassis makes this a very beautiful vehicle. Mazda 787B Race Car Cr 5,260,000 Now we're starting to hit the big numbers. This Mazda sports car might as well be a rocket with a spoiler. The soft curves keep it aerodynamic, however, so it's acceleration is unfathomably quick. GT by Citroen Cr 5,600,000 Only 5.6 mil for a car designed by Citroen for Gran Turismo. Well, we say car – it looks more like a stealth bomber. It comes in three varieties, too, so you even get a choice of how expensive you want your Batmobile-wannabe to cost. Ferrari F10 Cr 10,000,000 Though we prefer the pure racing red of the F2007, this is the newer model of the Formula One vehicle available. Which means only one thing: it's fast, it's grippY and you'll win every race in it. Ferrari F2007 Cr 12,500,000 The second of three Ferrari's and two Formula One cars. This is the older model, yet is faster and more agile since it no longer needs to take on board the heavy fuel take of the newer model, the F10, making this car faster, grippier and you'll win even more races in it. Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone Prototype Cr 15,000,000 Now this is how you race! Classy roadster, the Miura, with its smooth design, sloped rear and unique headlights makes this one of the most gorgeous vehicles we have every driven (in a video game). It's not half zippy, either. Ford Mark IV Cr 20,000,000 This is it, one of three most expensive cars in the game. Speed and cornering is as expected of a sports car of this price, but the most unique feature is the angled rear, tapering to a point and giving it a very stylish profile. Jaguar XJ13 Race Car Cr 20,000,000 Jaguar's are about as classy as they come, and this classic roadster is by far the best. We defy anyone to deny the good looks of the XJ13, possibly our favourite in the entire game. And even for a car getting on for a bit, it's still a far faster and sweeter a ride than any other. Ferrarri 330 P4 Cr 20,000,000 We stand corrected, this is the best-looking car in the game. For a princely fee of 20 million credits you can drive around in the 330, with stylish curvature at the front and the Jetson-esque window making this car more than stand out. |
