Intro sequence graphical effects:
If you press R1 during a portion of the intro sequence you will cycle through three different graphical effects, black&white, yellow tint and a blur effect. press L1 one to cycle back again.

Pac-Man mode:
Race more than 3,000 kilometers in total distance to unlock the Pac-Man mode.

99 lap mode:
Beat the top score in each race of the Time Attack GP in Extra Mode.

Duel mode:
Beat the Standard Time Attack GP.

Onscreen display:
Hold Select while racing in third person perspective to get misc. onscreen info.

Bonus cars:
Finish the following races in 1st place to unlock the cars in Free run, Time attack and Duel mode:

Rivelta Crinale race - Unlock Devil Drift
Danver Spectra race - Unlock 50's Super Drift Caddy
Kamata Angelus race - Unlock McLaren F1 clone :
Solort Rumeur race - Unlock VW Beetle

Unlock Big Ben:
To get Big Ben the Simi, at the title screen press: Left, Up, L2, R2, Down, Down, Up.

Unlock Maximum GP:
Finish GP mode in hard mode and you unlock the maximum challenge

50's Super Drift Caddy
Finish in first place in the Danver Spectra race in duel mode to unlock the 50's Super Drift Caddy car in free run, time attack, and duel mode.

Control introduction sequence
During the introduction sequence, press L1 and R1 to cycle through three different effects for the portion that uses the in-game graphics. Press R1 for black and white graphics. Press R1 a second time and the graphics will have a yellow tint. Press R1 a third time to add blur effect, which will eliminate jagged graphics. Press L1 to cycle back through the various effects.

McLaren F1 clone
Finish in first place in the Kamata Angelus race in duel mode to unlock the McLaren F1 clone in free run, time attack, and duel mode.

Third person view onscreen display
While racing in the third person perspective, hold Select to display onscreen information that includes the amount of pressure being used on various controller buttons.

VW Beetle
Finish in first place in the Solort Rumeur race in duel mode to unlock the new style VW Beetle car (with super grip handling) in free run, time attack, and duel mode.

99 lap mode
Set the top score in every race of the Time Attack GP in the Extra Mode, finishing in first place in all of them.

99 Trial Endurance Race
Unlock this mode by unlocking all the secret cars or travelling a distance of 999km.
