Explanation of the Timer: ------------------------- Most of the missions that require jumping to another system are on a timer — until you arrive, at which point the timer stops. The timer is generally 2-5 minutes of game time. There is also a wave of Harvesters that expands until it fills the sector – it’s not exactly a timer, more like a hunger clock or Spelunky ghost. Mechanically this is designed to keep things moving forward. Anyway, in the upcoming version 1.48 you’ll be able to make that wave only expand between jumps, which removes all time urgency related to the wave. There are other shorter timers – sometimes ships try to escape and there is only a limited amount of time before they jump away. |
