Love n War: Hero by Chance II Cheat Codes: ------------ Submitted by: David K. How to Improve Your Gameplay: ----------------------------- -=General * Only upgrade units if you have gear for them because they become more expensive the higher their level. You should invest in good armor for anything above level three to ensure your units survive a little longer and are worth the extra resources you spend on them. If you want to upgrade a unit to level 10, make sure you can outfit them with special gear. * The most useful crystals increase the damage your units deal. Make sure you stack such crystals on your gunners and mages. * Damage reduction crystals are the second most useful crystals and should be stacked on your heroes and tanks to get the most use out of them. * Ranged cooldown is a vital research skill, allowing you to spawn cheap ranged units faster. * You can play through levels 5-8 and 6-8 much faster if you spam damage upgrade gunners and mages and place them in the top lane while also ignoring all enemy attacks. After completing level 5-8, you may be rewarded with red items, so replay the level if you want to get your hands on a few more. * With the right gear and a complete set of ultimate crystals (9), heroes can be upgraded to 89% damage reduction. This is with self-healing. If you choose to reduce the self-healing, a character's damage reduction can increase to 91%. * Increase your heroes' affection to lower the cost of using their skills. * Don't be afraid to recall an injured hero. You can always deploy them again at the expense of a few deployment points. Just keep in mind that you can only recall them once * Don't execute the generals! If you let them live, you can hire them later, and it gives you plenty of diplomacy. * When dating, don't use affectionate responses. Rather, get affection points by buying gifts. * When choosing generals, select one that increases your SP and mage damage to ensure your effectiveness in battle. -=Battle * Use your castle walls to your advantage by spawning ranged units behind them. These units allow you to kill the first couple of batches of enemy troops with no losses. * Only use melee troops to counter enemy units, never to attack their castle. * Create a death ball by spawning lots of ranged units that will allow you to kill the enemy without taking too much damage. An overwhelming number of ranged units in the early game can become unstoppable. * The most useful midgame upgrades are range increases for weapons and healing items for armor. Healing is especially good as it keeps units from being completely wiped out by the enemy castle's defenses. * Grete is the most valuable damage-reduction hero you can have in your arsenal. Wait until your troops are in battle, then spam it as often as possible. * Don't deploy heroes until later in the game, as you can upgrade them with massive damage reduction and healing thanks to crystals and gear. In the early game, just focus on stacking lots of ranged units in a lane. -=Siege * Use catapults instead of siege towers. * Attack the bottom or top two lanes with catapults until the walls are broken to prevent archers from killing your troops. Don't attack the remaining lane; this will keep it from spawning enemies, giving you an advantage. * If you have any self-heal items, give them to your heroes, as this will keep them alive when enemy cannons are bearing down on them. * Grace is the best hero to have if you've got catapults. Make sure to spam her healing on the weapons of mass destruction to keep them alive for as long as possible. * Give your melee units damage reduction crystals to ensure their survival, and your ranged units damage increase crystals to wipe out your enemies better. * When you're on easy mode, you can deathball your enemy's defenses with a couple of melee units backed by an overwhelming number of ranged units and push them as far into the lane as you can manage. When you're on hard mode, you can focus all your attention on keeping 1 or 2 catapults alive in the furthest lane and use them to destroy your enemy's castle. * If you have decent healing heroes in your arsenal, hold off on destroying the castle wall until you have enough deployment points to get the heroes on the battlefield. * Your 4th hero stacks in the top lane, so if you want to use the unity to its fullest potential and destroy the enemy, you need to destroy the top two walls. This will allow you to use a powerful hero charge. -=Ambush * Put your best-mounted hero with a melee weapon at the front of your army and your second-best at the back. They can perform nasty charges capable of wiping out or heavily damaging any pack of enemies. * Put your best ranged unit (usually druids or mages) in slot 2. * When you see a water bucket, collect it. If there's a fire in the path of your party, the water bucket will be used to put it out immediately. * Keep your party moving. |
